@schneidas: just click on "kemper 1, 2 etc". you'll be in the page of each clip and you'll find the description.
@guitartone: the change in sound is so huge that it seems that a whole eq/cab section has been changed, but i didn't.
Tomorrow i'll try to move profiles keeping the cabinet section locked and viceversa.
Difference between 2 and 3 is clear and it does sound like the cab has changed - I wonder if the change to the next profile preloads the cab of that profile (in code) and doesn't release it if you switch back to the first profile. What happens if you put the same profile next to itself and do the switch then? What happens if you put two profiles with the same cab next to each other and do the switching around then?
I'd test it myself but I'm not going to 1.04 until we have the issue ironed out and I don't have the problem.
Here is an audio sample (recorded via the SPDif out of the KPA):
Audio1
Rig1, after KPA bootet up
(also, this is exactly how this rig sounded with FW 1.0.4)
Audio2
Rig1, after switching to another rig and back to rig1.
(also, this is how the rig sounded in FW 1.0.5)
Same guitar, same pickup, same cable, same pic, same player - you get the picture
Sorry for the lame playing.
Do you hear a difference? I definitely do.
Sorry for the noise - I have the noisegate disabled, and this is a highgain rig
Summing up: FW 1.0.6 sounds like FW 1.0.4 when the KPA boots up - and then goes back sounding like FW 1.0.5. when you switch rigs.![]()
How's the latency compared to 1.0.5?

Thanks for the tip, Maurizio. That's very true. I tried playing something similar and I think the sample I did was good enough to demonstrate the difference, but yes, only a looped signal will be a truly 100% accurate comparison. Only prob is, I don't have a looper around.Hi, just an advice to be more precise in the comparison. I clearly ear differences between the two tracks, but it is very important they sound EXACT the same from the beginning, so, even if you use same guitar, same pickup etc... but you are playing a different TAKE, the sound will be different!
Can you (or others too) next times use a looper with the same take? It will be in this case definitively a REAL comparison with no more doubts!
Try it... believe me...![]()
Ok, I'm an idiot!@schneidas: just click on "kemper 1, 2 etc". you'll be in the page of each clip and you'll find the description.
Thanks, got it now!
