In terms of replacing the pedals this is true. But i used a solution like this and did not like it either. Either you have to place your spare pedals losely on the stage or put it all to a extra board. Why not have two durable metal pedals onboard AND 2-4 TRS connection for extra pedals? :P

I used the J-12 for a long time and LOVED it.
