We have no plans or ideas to improve the core sound engine of the profiler in terms of getting closer to something.
If we ever applied changes to that in the future, we will still make existing profiles and rigs sound the same.

That sounds more than logical to me and it is how it should be. One of the main reasons I stopped using another well known high end modeler amp section is due to the significant changes in the tone and feel produced by most of the frequent firmware updates. I don't want to be forced to choose between updating in order to get new features or improvements and redoing all my previous work on the unit.

Of course, if there is noise etc. to reduce, we will try our best. But I don't consider this to be part of the sound.

I don't think anybody here considers aliasing or noise to be part of the sound, so don't be afraid of getting rid of all that. :D

Things can only can only get better.

Some of us can be more patient, some of us cannot. I am only doing recordings and can wait for upgrades and improvements, someone else is gigging and make a living out of it and wants things to move faster.

Balance will do the trick for an irreplaceable piece of equipment.
May I remind what Christoph kindly asked from all of us a few days back: please don't put lots of pressure and make us release upgrades not being tested adequately. I can only respect his request, having experience with the Access Virus hardware/software many years now.
What we'll get in response to this, will be innovative and top range professional.

We have an updated public beta 1.09 available for download, that addresses the aliasing problem.

So, the Friday version (7426) which just says "addresses a stability issue" also secretly fixes the aliasing?

We've released a new public beta for version 1.0.9 just now.
The new version is called 1.0.9.7426 - It is identical to version 7415 but addresses a stability issue introduced in the first release of 1.0.9
have a good weekend, gs

It was posted on Friday, in the "FW. 1.0.9" thread.

Yep, that's what I mean... From G String's post I didn't get that they fixed the aliasing prob.
Some users were having stability issues, so I assumed "adresses a stability issue" meant just that!

I detect no change in aliasing with 1.0.9.7426.
