hi I just got my Kemper yesterday at night ! i tried to do the tone match process with ozone 5 but i think i'm doing it wrong , it doesnt work at all, i'm trying to do "a nightmare to remember" since i have the isolated guitar track, I recorded the same riff part and tried to match EQ but it sounds pretty bad, i tried recording with cabinet off too but it doenst work, any clues of what i am doing wrong?

thanks =)

Silent Underground did a tone match series for Lamb of God.

I like the learning aspects behind this idea more than the ability to copy sounds of other guitar players.
But what I don't get: do you all have ozone 5 , that nearly costs 200 bugs? or is a free version out there, that offers the tone matching feature?

200 bugs is a bargain I would say! Just will take some time to collect them in the backyard.

Probably most people are getting crossgrades with ozone which does not cost too many bugs.i have used it for years and wouldnt be without it.

Ozone's not the only EQ-matching product out there; it's just the most practical IMHO. Voxengo's CurveEQ is another one, and heck - Steinberg's FreeFilter has been around for so long it's probably been bouncing around as abandonware for years. But I agree with londonjeepster; if I had to mix completely in the box with only the plugs that came with my DAW, I'd say punt. But if I was allowed to bring in just One or Two third-party plugs, Ozone would be my first choice. It's the best single plugin of its kind.
