If you can play that stuff and provide a decent Di track, then maybe ;)
Youtube links are not suitable then I guess?
Youtube links are ok for the source sound. But as you need to play the same stuff to get a good match between your tone and the original, a DI track plus the youtube track would be necessary. You can use "youtube to mp3 converter" for youtube to wav file conversion.

Practically you can match only what you can play, quite fair actually!

This profiling method isn't working for me ?(

Im using ozone 5 through Audicity. I have matched eq's from original recording to my recording but cant seem to get the eq applied tone when profiling. Just sounds the same as my reference amp.

In the other Eq matching thread it talks about activating real time monitoring? Im not sure how to do this. Im hoping this is my problem.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Yeah right, you need to monitor your VST plugin in real time. Basically it is the same as if your were playing with a software amp in real time. I do not know how it is called in audacity. In Cubase you just activate the monitoring symbol for the track with the plugin loaded. Of course you need to set the right input and ouput for that track.

Can't wait for those Ramones profiles.

Given this is their Silver Jubilee ( and we in UK have an extra bank holiday to celebrate it) I think the prime candidate for tone matching would be 'God Save the Queen' by the Sex Pistols.

Sounds perfect, nicely done

@MisterC, i also think that "Canada" Tone by Devin you sent me is very cool, but it is so layered with Delay and other FX that i am not sure if tone matching will give you the result you want. As soon as the temperatures fall a little (at the moment it is way too hot to be in my home studio) i will give it a try...

Thx to HappyKemper, he provided me with a new tutorial about how to use tonematching with ozone5. Forget about the AXE-FX and IR stuff, but the process of tonematching is the same for the KPA:

It would be great If we could load IR impulses into our Kemper, like a cab. That way, we'd be able to create matching profiles without using mic and amp.

CK, could It be a new feature in the near future? :)))
