Youtube links are ok for the source sound. But as you need to play the same stuff to get a good match between your tone and the original, a DI track plus the youtube track would be necessary. You can use "youtube to mp3 converter" for youtube to wav file conversion.Youtube links are not suitable then I guess? If you can play that stuff and provide a decent Di track, then maybe![]()
U serious????Practically you can match only what you can play, quite fair actually!
Yeah right, you need to monitor your VST plugin in real time. Basically it is the same as if your were playing with a software amp in real time. I do not know how it is called in audacity. In Cubase you just activate the monitoring symbol for the track with the plugin loaded. Of course you need to set the right input and ouput for that track. This profiling method isn't working for me![]()
Im using ozone 5 through Audicity. I have matched eq's from original recording to my recording but cant seem to get the eq applied tone when profiling. Just sounds the same as my reference amp.
In the other Eq matching thread it talks about activating real time monitoring? Im not sure how to do this. Im hoping this is my problem.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Sounds perfect, nicely donehere is my attempt to use eq matching
