Is "Alternative Input" ever coming back?

I understand this was disabled in one of the firmware releases, on account of "timing errors" or something to that effect. Was this a firmware bug that we can expect Kemper to address, or did they realize they had a hardware problem after launch and decide to mask the problem by disabling the feature? The alternate input would actually be very useful (or at least very convenient) and I'm hoping to see it back on line soon.

When I first considered buying a KPA, the Alternative Input was one of the most attractive I/O features to me.
I was hoping to use the send/return, for X slot, while simultaneously using the Alt Input, to introduce another signal, s/a, direct out, piezo, etc...
And, hoping to be able to mix the Alt Input signal with whatever Rig being used.
Thus achieving the "two Rigs at once" requested feature.

I've been ignoring this input, but am interested in what fully grown male individuals might use it for (when functioning).

It shows that we do not only enjoy just tipping the front buttons and accessing the obvious...the front input :D
We continually seek pleasure
