Can anyone help with Tom Morello (whammy) effect

  • simple! just put a pedal pitch into a distorted solo sound you have. dial +12 into the toe value leaving 0 into the heel value.

now when you play you do it when with the exp pedal at heel position and in a very quick movement you press the exp pedal to toe position achieving the high pitch sound. you must be very quick though because during the pitch raising by the pedal every note except the octave (+12) will ruin the solo, harmony speaking.

    hope this help

  • hi,

Tom Morello uses his whammy in the fx-loop, so put it post-stack on the Profiler. ;)

+1. And if you need any more help...

Standard (older bu tnot vintage) Crybaby it in his loop. So his wah is happening post distortion. He does use an EQ as well so there may be some other special sauce happening...
