BIG Thanks to FastRedPonyCar for MadRyan and Mako Rigs!!!

  • A BIG thanks to FastRedPonyCar for the Mad Ryan Jubilee and Mako Rigs - these are fast becoming my complete 'go to' tones with my current favourite axe!

They have needed minimal EQ/Stack tweaking and sound like the tones I would expect from these amps in my head - sterling work \m/

If anyone knows his 'true identity' can someone let him know I'm seriously grateful for these rigs - having no amps to profile myself I feel like I've hit the motherload for hard rock/metal tones :)

    Cheers!

  • Fastredpony's gainy profiles are definitely a cut above the norm, love his nitro sag

New talent management advice to Laura Cox -

“Laura want to break the internet? let’s shoot another video of you covering the Nightrain solo in the blue singlet, but this time we’ll crank up the air conditioning”.

  • Yeah a big thanks from me to FRPC too! It was his videos that made me get a MAK4 a few years ago, best pre for me ever! Cheers man.

Sadly I can't get the crunch sound the way I like it from his profile, guess I'll have to profile it myself...it's a VH4 ch3 doppelganger to be sure! :)

    You don't know, Drew?
He's famous for his awesome Youtube demos, and my favourite Tokai guitars demo man...I use his demos on my website. .

  • Downloaded all of his profiles today and it cost me like 4 hours of my time because I just coudln't stop playing. Awesome profiles, seem to fit my Ibanez Prestige perfectly! Thanks FastRedPonyCar

  • Yeah every Marshall lover should definitively try the Marshall Jubilee he did a few months ago, one of my timeless favorite rig, instant killer tone. So good, I would include these into the factory rigs.

This rig did inspire me for recording my heaviest track : https://soundcloud.com/waraba/fast-forward-psychedelic-mix

  • MadRyan,

You obviously built it right - it sounds great!

I was going to build a clone of my Jubilee a few years ago, to use as a spare. Then, the Kemper came along. I profiled my amp, instead of building one ;)

    Why thanks!

I wanted the Joe Bonamassa sound and love real amps so I built the jube. It's also quieter and has a few mods the stock ones didn't come with. That said, my Kemper kills most everything for tone and versatility as a practice rig or recording rig.

The one amp I can't seem to get to sound as good via Kemper as my "real" amp is a Boogie Mark series. My Mark IV just kills the Kemper profiles of Mark series amps. I think it's the stuff going on in the power section of mark series amps.

  • LOL I should come around this place more often :D

Glad you guys dig the profiles. I've definitely sort of found my groove in terms of how I like to build them. That initial jubilee profile and to a certain extent, the 1 watt JCM800 profile were the beginning of me really digging into multi-mic profiling through a mixer. Really helped bring out a bit more depth in the sound that otherwise is just really lost when you only use 1 mic.

I'm really happy with my mark V profiles so if you guys haven't checked those out, give em a try and see what you think.

BTW, I also did a new Nitro profile back around the same time I did the Jubilee profile.
