Just acquired my Kemper last week. I figured I'd give the profiling a whirl with an obscure old amp that I've had for a while. It's a Gretsch Electromatic from 1951. I profiled it with an SM57, but like the Sennheiser e609 profiles a lot better. I profiled with the volume low and high for different gains and also with the "regular" and "treble" input options. Would love for those more experienced here to let me know how I did and what I can do better! Thanks in advance...

First of all: welcome to the forum And then, thanks a lot for profiling and sharing those rigs! Gonna try them asap!

1951 Gretsch Reg Lo was my favorite of these. I just added little slap echo and reverb for 50's sound. Nice profiles man

Will check this later! Thanks & welcome!

Yeah thx a lot for the profiles, sounds really vintage , very dry & typically clean . They are a little 'thin' , but on a 2x12 fender cab by Andy they show their real potential. Maybe you should try profiling with the SM57 close to the speaker but angled , search for the 'foolproof ' miking method here.
Do you have any pic of the grandpa ?

Thank you for your work,
not really my favourites - but anyway ... perhaps I'm sometimes into dry vintage tones ...
