How about making it configurable, meaning, allowing the user to select which #CC is associated with tap tempo? Probably a lot of MIDI controllers out there allow for changing which message is tap tempo so the fact that it's fixed in the Kemper isn't a problem, but mine doesn't so I can't use tap tempo or the new beatscanner with my MIDI footswitch.
Now that we have beat scanner and tap tempo is getting even more important...
