I received the invitation, thanks!
I won't be able to do proper testing until next week, though. -
Trackfight is online again.
In case you had participated in the 1st public beta test...you have to re-register again. The old account (user name and password) do not work anymore.Come on in - check it out - Make music!

We just added a tag cloud to the "song-project groups".
If you want to participate in a song project online it's much easier to find a genre you like.
If you want to start your own song-project group...just tag the music genre and invite other musicians to help composing it.Check it out: http://www.trackfight.net

Our "crowd recording project" trackfight.net just published the first album.
All songs recorded over the internet track by track. One musician starts with track one...the next musician adds track 2 and so on.
Songs take surprising directions that way. Like playing chess....but the song is the game. The album is named "lag time": https://thetrackfighters.bandcamp.com/releases

interesting project, I love the idea behind , good luck !

Cool one question: who's in charge for mixing and mastering? The one who starts the project?
-
Thanks!
Trackfight.net is used in different ways...some (like us who started the project) use it to create music online...track by track.Others use it as a scratchpad for bands. Usually you don't see your bandmates every day...so you can record a song idea and share it on trackfight (and add another track to work on a song prior to next rehearsal).
Bands use private/hidden groups while public projects use public groups.@viabcroce: Well it depends...usually one volunteers

Interesting. I haven't logged in to trackfight.netfor a while, and fortunately I see my band mates very regularly, that's why.
Again: this is a great initiative, so thank you again.
