2.3.2 Beta Main Output

  • Hi Guys,

At the studio today I ran 2.3.2 beta and I had a few issues.

What was happening, is that I'd say 95% of the sound coming from the main XLR outs was a "clean amp" sound, and 5% was the "rig" was that I was loading.

Scrolling through the rigs pretty much did nothing, but in the distance I could hear the amp and its effects bleeding through.

I restarted the unit a number of times - turned the power off etc. ...

When I checked the outputs, if I made the main output "Master Mono" or "Master Stereo" it sounded like this. If the output was set to "Master Mod" the amp sound worked correctly ... but of course not the FX.

I downgraded to the 2.2.1 release and it's back to being fine again ... then upgraded to 2.3.2 and it went back to being bad!

So I'm on 2.2.1 - not sure if anyone else has had this issue.

  • same here , stick to 2.3.1 .
what is parallel path feature ?
I don't care and don't have time to check 1000 rigs each by each for that
I will wait for 2.3.3 where this problem will be fixed out, as always.
    not a big deal. :D

It's not true that the parallel path is enabled by default in 2.3.2
So sticking to 2.3.1 is generally is not a good recommendation.
About parallel path you should read the release notes.
It is a great feature especially for our 4-5 stringed friends. :)

  • This means that the problem with my box when I install 2.3.2 is not parallel path related ...

    Odd!

I might just wait until the next beta/release.

James, did you look in rig menu if parallel output is enabled and if the answer is yes if it is on all rigs? If not you should open a support ticket with your issue incl. a backup of your profiler.

It is not active in general. The bug can be described as:

If "parallel path" is enabled and you switch to a rig that is rather old (like firmware presets) it might stay enabled. If that case, just switch it off.
The stored rigs are not changed. The bug is already fixed in the upcoming release.

  • This is what I'm sayin' .
Bug is here, not a big deal, go back to previous and wait for next release, everything fine

  • I've got pretty much all of The Amp Factory's stuff and it was enabled on almost every profile. I'll just run a lower version for now.

You got that wrong. It is not enabled on all of them. You just had one that had parallel path enabled. You just need to disable it once and everything is well.
