How much better is 2 DXR's (rather than one)

The Air Chorus is great, as are many other effects that really come to life in stereo.

What is the best way to run stereo with the Kempers and 2 DXR10s? I don't have one yet and I'm about to buy one. Probably the non-powered version, and then use 2 DXR10s. But if I do that, how would I run in stereo, but also be able to send my signal direct to the front of house?

If a mono signal to FOH is ok for you, you can use Monitor out. If you want to send a stereo signal, it seems the yamaha have a THRU socket by which you can replicate the input out. It should not even be affected by cabs' volume setting

Together with the Direct Out you can run the Monitor Out in stereo too. The general disadvantage is that you can't switch off the cab on Direct Out. But this doesn't matter in your setup as you you're going FRFR and want the cab sim on both outputs.

I use two DXR10 via main outs and they sound great together, especially for delay and reverb effects. I'm waiting for vintage chorus and hyper chorus stereo enhancing

Why?
You lose the ability to separate the volume for FOH and your stage volume.
I always reserve the main outs for FOH.

I was considering the general case, disregarding the OP using FRFR (and cabs on).

On a side note, if I got the Yamaha's controls structure right, the Thru output should be unaffected by the cab's volume. This would make for a less versatile setup, but with a little bit of experience, and once the monitors volume has been set a couple of times, Main Out could still be an option for both stereo monitor & stereo FOH. Is this a correct assumption?

Apart from this, if he doesn't want to go for both stereo options at the same time I'd still suggest using Monitor Out for one of the two.

Monitoring oneself in stereo on-stage might be a bit of an excess in many occasion (pleasure of the hearing apart )... Just thinking out loud.
