Noise when switching rigs in Performance mode

  • Noise is similar to that specific noise when looking for radio stations on old, valve type radio apparatus 8o ,just more sharp and annoying ,like somebody crashing glass wrapped in aluminium cane shits .

(one more proof that Kemper is VALVE unit, not digital one :whistling: )
Yes, it happen in Performance mode both when switching manually on KPA it self, and even worse if switching it via my Midi (bullet proof and flawless Tyrannosaurus Rex )
Also, there is delay . So when move from one to another rig - first is noise, than one or two seconds delay, and only then I get the sound of the new chosen rig .
In browse mode, everything is flawless and fine.
It happened with all of OS from the very beginning of introduction of Performance mode , now I am on 2.4 .
Since using of WD 40 doesn't help ,please give me some another idea ! :D :D :D
    Thanks !

  • Nope, not getting anything of the sort.
Did you notice this just now?..

There's a slight delay when switching - annoying, but nowhere close to two seconds - and occasionally some pops and clicks for a second or two after switching if you let a note ring through, but nothing like what you're describing.

"But dignity is difficult to maintain
    stamina requires constant upkeep
    repetition is boring
    and you pay for grace."

  • The sound may be caused by the color of that guitar? ;)

That Tom Anderson Bulldog colour !
You must see it in live 8o

  • This noise has been growing on me too. It's been overdue for a bug fix. I find it is more annoying on profiles where any of the original settings might have been changed or FX added. Also, when switching between clean profiles and distorted profiles. You can even hear it when browsing through rigs. I imagine the company is aware of the problem and working to fix it, I'd hate to have a performance recording ruined by glitching sounds.

Agreed, a minor annoyance, since it is only a few milliseconds. In the OP's case, I think he needs to run MidiOX or some similar software and determine whether he's sending more than one command from his foot controller, which would result in delayed switching.

  • Better not Rescator. I would have to get one as well (or maybe your one... ;)

Hey Tom, sorry not for sale . .
But you can watch Tom Anderson site , maybe you can find some second hand TAG, they are not expensive as new guitars.
Almost all second hand TAG's looks like a brand new, by the way , this is how most of TAG owners take care .

Nightight may be right , something must be with my Midi , if no one else experience the same problem
In Performance mode I have a funny character before some rig numbers - something like a "@" or "@ @" ,before the program name/number .

In browse mode there is no sucdh a thing?
What that suppose to be ???
