2.4.2 release ? without addressing lots of problems ?

I must say no problem here with me on 2.4.2 been gigging with it and all is well sound wise. I had the bass problem which they have fixed

Sorry, can't confirm your errors here. Sometimes it seems to me that not all charges of the KPA are made by the same quality. I'm running a nearly 2 years old toaster without amp and I'm happy with the last beta and release so far.

Like I said in another thread, I have not encountered any of these problems, no frequency shift, no flanging.

No problems here, but as stated above- your best bet is to open up a support ticket.

No problems here.

i think what Cristoph meant was the shift was to the same side relative to the knob being turned (turning the knob up shifted the resonant frequency up, and vice versa).

As I understand it, the change of the cab parameters was that the knob had a more useful range. The was an unintended effect of that update, which I guess is what people refer to as the "bass bug". That has been remedied in 2.4.2 (IIRC).

The way shifts work has been changed but the idea remained the same - it is not about level, it is about frequency.
I believe we've discussed this in your previous thread, actually.

Anyway, 2.4.2 works great. No flanging, no artifacts, shifts are awesome.

you claimed the direction of the parameter changed, which is not true.

the Shift parametes did change, as was pointed out in the 2.4.0 release notes
"Cab parameters are more authentic"

could you make a backup first?

Yes, I have seen users jumping on the "new" cab parameter and stated how good and intensitive they sound.

The truth is: they have not changed their character at all. They have been that intensitive all the time. No range or direction has changed. Our comment vor Version 2.4 was, that the sound can slightly change from previous versions, when those parameters are not set to zero. This made some people believe we have improved this functions dramatically and toutched the knobs the first time after a long while.

The parameters were not created to optimize or finetune your sound, they have been made for artificially and drastically altering your cabinet.

Just installed 2.4.2 coming from 2.3.3, no sound changes, everything is fine.

Faster booting time and finally I can use the the official RM (not the beta #4...) and all the other improvements.
