A buddy turned me onto this site called Destroy All Guitars. They rep for a very cool bunch of boutique luthiers.

I then came across this luthier called Esoteric. What do you folks think of this one?

Some guitars are nice indeed, but not very cheap...
I know. When they are hand made in the USA the prices are pretty steep.
Machine made in China are much cheaper.....but.......
Nice guitars, I especially like these ones:
- Gil Yaron Lemonburst Bone Immaculate
- Springer Seraph #020 Gold Top
- Gustavsson Fullerblaster Three Tone Sunburst
- The Gittler Guitar (minimalist design, made of Titanium, 31 frets ect.)
thanks for the link

I didn't need to see this!

Nice - but hard to hold?
(Edit: there is a video as well - may work not to bad)
If got a few minimalist / travel guitars before I found "The Bone" ....
The one that I have GAS for...

is the LAST handmade US model available from Esoterik Guitars in CA.
They've announced that they are shifting all but their CUSTOM line to Asia for manufacturing. Which will drop the price by at least half. I bet lots of shredders will be happy about that.
This guitar is a work of art in my eyes.
It was designed for and promoted by this dude....
"I have played many guitars over the years and what can I say; I must have an instrument that has power, sustain, incredible tone and durability. Esoterik Guitars give me that and so much more. Like any guitar player who is equipped to punish, it drives me nuts when the guitar I'm playing cant take what I dish out and goes out of tune after a song or two. I can wail on my Esoterik DR-1 for hours and it doesn't even flinch. This baby performs like a Lamborghini but is built like a tank. I also love that these guitars are handmade right here in America with amazing detailed craftsmanship. Built by guitar players for guitar players. Playing Esoterik guitars for me is a no brainer; they are truly incredible."

The Gittler Guitar is nothing for me (as you can imagine), but I like people who dare to do something totally different and new (like CK did, too).
Generally guitar-players are VERY conservative, I know so many guitar-players who never would even try the KPA because it's a digital tool. They'll stay with their tube-amps 'til the end of their days.

Interesting one, do you have a link? How does it sound?
I'm looking for a small electric guitar to use for my next vacation in Vietnam. Probably I'll also do some shows on the beach with my mini-setup (Macbook Air, Apollo Twin with Softube-amp-plugins + 2 active boxes).
Mine was one of the first models - made in Switzerland - incl. custom humbucker
Bought 2003
Pickup Seymour Duncan Humbucker SH-11 Custom-Custom
Body Hard Maple
Neck Hard Maple, rosewood fretboard
Specials Travel guitar, parallel / seriell switch, volume / tone
Here is a link to the current lineup:

My guitar sounds and plays good - you can check it out here

My favorite designers right now are Teuffel, Springer, Malinoski and Di Donato.
The most interesting guitar I've seen lately is this one. It reminds me of cheapo '50s Gibsons, with a crazy cheap price.
