This is great! I just got one of these pedals (Sam Ash had them for $259) and was hoping to use it this way. How did you connect it to the KPA?

Hey guys, glad you enjoyed it! Yes, the Midi Expander Box is required for connection to the Kemper. What's cool though, is that for passive Kempers with the void in the back, you can just double-stick tape the MIDI Expander right inside & permanently run two short MIDI cables down to the ports on the Kemper.

Watching the video it seems to me that there is no latency when switching rigs.
Is that really so?
Remembering all the other threads about latency while switching rings and experiencing exactly the same problem with my FCB1010 this might be the solution!?

Guys, have you tried using the wah effect using one of the controller pad/button/plus things? What I notice is a huge volume drop when the wah is held down. Any idea how to do fix this?

Does your wah have a volume drop if you enable it without using the SoftStep?

if yes, turn up the volume of the effect.

If no, the SoftStep may also be sending information on an additional MIDI CC number.

Unfortunately no way to test this, I don't have an expression pedal, bought the softstep hoping to use the Wah with the pressure sensitive keys.

Look at your SoftStep set up software to see the list of MIDI commands that are being sent by that footswitch when you use it for wah.
