Hi folks, I've got a very good guitar buffer that I use to put in my pedalboard with a bunch of pedals. Now I don't use these pedals anymore. I tried to connect it between the guitar and KPA hi-z input; my ears only hear a slightly louder signal. Shall I sell the buffer? Or keep it, maybe to kinda compensate tone loss when strings are getting old?
Is a guitar buffer useful with KPA?

The only time I would use one of those is if you had a very long cable setup. If you have some of those pedals and are running them into the KPA at a distance, then the buffer might help with some signal loss.
If not....sell it and the pedals and keep some $$$ in your pocket.
Now....if you have an amp that you still use on occassion with a small pedalboard, then it would be worth keeping. -

A buffer before the KPA only makes sense if you use a lot of pedals before they profiler. -
I actually have one tube combo that I bring in gigs just for backup, together with only 2 stompboxes. I think I'll sell the buffer. Thank you!
