A friend of mine is planning to come to my town for a jazz concert with his trio (guitar, double-bass and drums).
He play a Gibson L4 and asked me to provide him an amp for that evening. I'd like to let him try my KPA and my Atomic Amps CLR's.
I don't play jazz (not so far...) so I would really appreciate any suggestion about the rig to use and any trick (reverb, delay, eq or other fx settings).
Thanx.
Suggestion for classic Jazz tones.

Look for a profile that is really clean. A jazz-guitarists favourite could be a Fender Twin Reverb, for instance. Maybe add a little reverb or compression, but don't overdo it. Also ask if he plays straight into the amp or with a pedalboard.

Yes most very clean warm amps will do it. lower the gain & treble, add a little compression ( FX) or AMP compression to avoid boomyness in the basses on hard attacks - You should also play with definition & clarity parameters.
Some very goodrigs for jazz ( some I made specially for my L5 copy - here is a sample :
Davoli Carlton LP ( lead tone )
Davoli jazzy strat

Thank you very much, guys!
I really appreciate you advices and I'll try to find some nice clean jazz tones.Waraba,
If you send me your Jazzbox pack... Well, you have just found a new friend in Italy!
Thank you so much! -
The Harly EL84 is a really nice one indeed.
I personally also like the Fluff Gemini Clean for jazz, but it's totally not a Jazz amp usually. Just does the trick for me. Another personal favourite is the Badcat Sparkle Clean profile. -
Some I like are: 62 Deluxe, 63 Princeton, 63 Vibrolux, and joptunes Ac30 and his old black flag Marshall. These will all respond well to fingerpicking with great definition and will go from clean with git vol rolled off, to edgy.
Many more too...Dynacords, Selmers and other Fenders... -
Now they are too many!!!
Thank you very much guys.
Now I know how to spend my weekend... -
Please PM your e-mail address so I can send you my Jazzbox pack if you still need it ?

One speaks about certain profiled amps but if you look for them in the KPA they are not there...! Or did you find them in the KPA Community?

You need to look for them online on the rig exchange.
