I just bought the "Just Bass" pack. Curious why the instrument says "Guitar" on some rigs, instead of "Bass". It's quite annoying actually because I have so many profiles in my Kemper and I want to list only the Bass profiles when I'm playing bass. The rigs with "Guitar" as Instrument will not be listed if I filter on Bass profiles in the Browser...

You have to the name yourself. Annoying but what else to do.

You cannot change the Instrument yourself...

Oh, okay that really sucks.

Create a subfolder for bass rigs and performances too. An easy solution.

I'm not talking about Rig Manager. That's easy. I'm talking about the Kemper. As far as I know, there's no way to make subfolders there...

Nope. Performances are the folders, so to speak.

I've never used it, but in Browser mode, one of the view options is "Just Bass". Not sure if that would help.

That's my point. Some of the rigs (those indicated with "Guitar") will NOT show up when you select "Just Bass" in the browser options...

You can change the Instrument Tag in Rig Manager.

Ah, I see. Well, like paults mentioned, you can change the instrument tag in RM, it's a drop down menu. I just tried it and the rigs that I changed to Bass, show up in the Profiler under Just Bass. You need a way to batch change that rig tag.
Edit: So I just tried this: in RM select all of the Bass profiles and change the instrument to Bass. That will change all of them at once.
Edit 2: I am fooling around with this. This is pretty powerful stuff. If you have a set of profiles that you want to keep in a category of their own, you can change their instrument to Bass and then they will show up in the Just Bass view. (that is assuming you are not using that specifically for Bass profiles) This really makes me want to ask the folks at Kemper to set up some Custom views where certain rigs could be tagged to show up in their own view. Then we could group profiles, in the Profiler, in other ways than just Favorites and Non-Favorites (and now Bass !).
This is very cool. Thank you FlyingSnowman & paults !!

Thanks for that. I thought I tried it but apparently, I didn't
Works now.
But all of the rigs should be set to Bass and not to Guitar in the default pack when you buy it, since it's a Bass pack...

Agreed.

So sorry for the wrong tags. I looked up earlier versions of the pack and I had changed them all to bass, but something got messed up between me sending them to Steve for tweaking and such. My apologies. It is fixed now.

Thank you for that, Michael.
Say mate, I tried to re-download the bass pack seeing as you'd made the changes, but to my horror when I logged in I received the following messages when I clicked the "Downloads" and "Orders" links respectively:
No downloads available yet.
No order has been made yet.
Pretty strange seeing as I've bought everything.

Try this...
go to mbritt.com and look up in the top left for "your purchases". Click that and follow prompts to enter the email associated with your PayPal account. That should take you to the DPD Cart (my shopping cart server) to see the past purchases. If they are older purchases (pre-2016) you may have to contact me directly.

Thank you Michael.
It worked, but only 5 of the 25 or so purchases, totalling $116, show up, one fifth of everything that I've bought through the years.
Also, the "orders" and "Downloads" links in my account still yield nothing, nada.
Thank you for the PM, mate. I hadn't seen your post yet when I replied.

Can someone with Michael Britt's 2020 pack please test something for me? I'm trying to troubleshoot an ongoing problem with my Profiler.
In the MB Classic Rock performance, please load the fourth profile (Plexi Drive). Does this sound like it's gain matches the level (about noon) or does it sound like metal?
Load the following profile -- 68 Mars 50 1 8R. It has the same gain level as Plexi Drive (and slightly lower distortion sense). Does this sound roughly the same in gain as Plexi Drive or does it sound significantly lower?
For some reason, Plexi Drive has roughly twice the gain as 68 Mars 50 1 8R, to me -- almost like a distortion pedal is stuck on, but even if I completely disable the stomps, it makes no different. I do not think it is the profiles, because other profiles from other vendors are behaving the same way.
If someone could test this, I would greatly appreciate the help.

I just tested both back to back and I think that is the same profile that I put in slot 4 of the Classic Rock Performance and it sounds the same to me. I don't hear any gain or level difference on my machine.
