... and midi over usb is much "younger" technology than original 5 pin midi cables. So the compatibility is much wider with 5 pin cables. But the midi/usb convertor could very likely solve this "problem" but I did't try it on Kemper so not 100% sure.
Midi through USB

In your 1st post you wanted to know how to connect to the Kemper via midi. You can find this info in the Main Manual. But if you don't want to read few pages and rather spent more time with posting questions to this forum than go on.
That’s not completely true. I didn’t ask about how to connect through midi. I asked a question about something I had gotten a wrong impression about. Not a tutorial in connection through midi. Not that it matters though. I understand the idea now and I understand that I was right in the first place. That’s why I asked about the difference which was a mistake, since I was sure that midi was usable to control the Kemper.

So I think it depends in witch context you wanna use it.
On a large stage it could be you run into problems with longer usb cables (max 5 meters). With MIDI we have no problems over 15 meter.
For home usage it would be great if we could use midi over usb because most of us have already a usb connection using RigManager.
So what I am try to say is, at the moment you need the 5 pin midi cable with audio/midi device or an midi bluetooth adapter. It makes sense

This is a perfectly valid feature request. KPA can run over USB MIDI but only the KPA team knows why they can't or won't do it for end users.

Maybe it's a question of license costs?
Maybe USB MIDI is subject to license at midi.org or usb.org.
If that were the case, a system update would require a lot of license fees that are of course not included in the product costs.
