Focustite Scarlett and KPA

    Ok, just bought a Focusrite Scarlett 6i6 and loving it so far.


    The thing I have not figured out just yet: I want to run the KPA via S/PDif into the Scarlett.
    No problemo - put it in the S/PDif in of the Scarlett, selected SPDIF and set the clock to external. Everything sounds great.


    However, I want to run it this way *AND* jam along to a backing track on my PC. Somehow I cannot get both to play simultaneously.
    It's either S/PDif (and no signal from the PC) or it's the audio of PC (no SPDif signal).


    How can I enable both at the same time?

    Do you use a DAW to enable monitoring? I use the 8i6 - if I start a DAW the ASIO driver blocks the "normal" windows sound. try enabling hardware monitoring on the Scarlett if you didn't already.

    You have to open the right channels in the scarlett mixer, spdif in for KPA
    and two analog ins for the Pc which you have plugged into the analog inputs
    of scarlett
    you will see the corresponding meters run
    just open this channels and route them into the monitor / headphone out
    of the scarlett mix
