FX Loop - Low output. What am I doing wrong?

Hi Guys,

I'm trying to get an Eventide Eclipse into the FX Loop of the kemper.

The Eclipse is connected via SPDIF to a RME Fireface 800

The Kemper is connected to analogs ins and outs on the Fireface 800.

When using the FX loop the output from the Direct Out on the Kemper is extremely low even when boosting by 10db in the Fireface and 10db in the eclipse, I have tried setting of "Direct Out" to "GIT Studio" but it makes no difference in levels.

I have looked in the manual but cannot find anything about setting the output level.

What am I doing wrong?

No, guitar -> Kemper -> RME Line in -> Eclipse -> RME -> Kemper.

Not quite sure what you mean about using headphones?

Also no pad on the line ins.
