So, after looking around for a bit i didn't find much specifically on this Amp.
Is anybody here using it as a Stage-Montoring Solution (on small to mid-size stages), and can tell me
wether it is worth buying? I can possibly snatch one for a bit under 400,- €, possibly 350,- even (18W, used), and am pondering the possibilty,
So yeah... is this thing good? I know the active Atomic Reactor CLR boxes of nowadays get a lot of praise, but the pricetag
is a bit hefty for my tastes (though, from what i read and hear, obviously well justified). How would you think would the 112 fare
against it's bigger brother in comparison? Are there reasonably proced alternatives to the 112?

At this point in time I can't recommend it.
I used the 18-112 for a while.
The headroom is not very high and the speaker is not flat.
Better get a Yamaha DXR 10 which is only slightly more expensive. -
Nay... it's kinda in between FRFR and Guitar cab... if it sounds good on the atomic it probably would suck on a "real" FRFR system or FOH.

Ingolf: yeah, thx for the input right after posting my question (of course...), i found the other thread where you're
discussing the very same thing. so, i won't be going that route. on the subject on the dxr 12: it may very well sound excellent, i'll take your word on that any time,
but to be honest i would prefer something a bit more "cab"-like looking. do you perhaps have any recommendation with that criteria in mind?
oh well, it ain't easy being green.... maybe i should try and see how things turn out if i plug the KPA directly into my trusty old fender blues deluxe's poweramp section, you never know...mDan: yep, i figured as much. bugger...

I had a 112-18.
It was big for a 1-12 cab, heavy, and not very loud. It did not sound as accurate as a FRFR cabinet.
A DXR10 is smaller, lighter, can be louder than you will ever need, and is a FRFR cabinet.

" i would prefer something a bit more "cab"-like looking."
If you don't use the DXR as a wedge monitor, it will look more like a guitar cab ,

@bluepowder2014: I was also meaning to write DXR 10, 12” not necessary IMO. Corrected my post above.
