On a side note, is there a demand for DI profiles of the '68 and '74 SuperLeads, the Lee Jackson Marshall, and the '78 Master volume Marshall? I could also do the '70 Fender Dual Showman Reverb.

Man you KNOW I love the '68 and '74. I would really dig DI/Merged of those. It was your Marshall bundle that made me keep the Kemper.

thought so, too. would be interesting to listen to the differences compared to studio profiles, it seems to me that DI profiles have an improved clarity to them ...
Display MoreSure, its really simple. I just used a studio eq. I put a low q boost for one of the mid freq bands, centered around 1200 hz. I made it big, like +7db, then i used the mix parameter to find the sweet spot around 60%. I also used a boost on the low shelf from like 700 hz down to make sure it didnt thin out.
I boosted the bias in the amp deps way up, i think to 10/max. Im using the max2 profile.
I turned up the treb and presence and turned down mids just a touch.
I put one of my "advanced reverb" presets on there.
And im using a ebmm jpm with crunch lab/liquifire pickups.
Really its not that much tweaking. You just have to get the eq boost and gain in the sweet spots
I know this is older but I did what was listed here to this profile (with my delay & rev and not quite so much bias 8.8) And it blew me away. I got Very close to an early VH tone. Thanks for this!!! Recommended!! This opened the door for me to experiment with the amp section more and realizing how I can shape the amp to give it the feel I want without seriously changing the sound.
A Version 2 of my '74 SLead is on the short list, and will include merged as well. Jan 13th 2016

No need for V2 IMO. I feel I can tweek around on the one I have and get anything I want from a Marshall superlead tone.
