Just got Positive Grid BIAS

Hi mates

just purchased BIAS. as you could guess, I tested extensively the MarkIIc+ sim. First thing I used the ampkit link 1st generation so I can guess with HD the tone and feel can be improved. By far the best amp modeler for IOS !!!

i tested it in my Ipad3 and my iphone 5s. What I noticed is how the tone is different between both units ! I noticed that with iphone 5s there was much less hum and parasites. Perhaps the iphone5 headphone output has been improved, I dunno...

to get a great higain feel, I had to play a lot with the preamp and poweramp features. There are a lot of tweaking options and each one is really cool and efficient. i posted my preset in the BIAS tonecloud

If you have an iphone, this app is killer. For the moment it is only 5€ in the appstore !

Yeah, BIAS+JamUp was my live rig for all gigs this year. And I recorded our latest album mostly with it too... so yup, with a decent interface you get very usable tones out of it.

Btw, just stumbled across your website. Great tones man! Excellent.

I think your Mark IIC+ profile is one of my favorite ones so far!

BIAS for IOS is definitely very good.
I couldn't be bothered to get the desktop version yet.

I don't know about the newest generation. I still have an Apogee Jam that sounds great to my ears.

I don't know about the best, but I have been very content with the Line6 Sonic Port. Simply because it basically has two dedicated outputs as well as the input. The line out, which I used going to FOH and headphone out which I used to go to my monitor on stage.

I did choose the Line6 Sonic Port for the obvious reson of being 24 bit and having dedicated inputs and outputs.
Too many interfaces relies on using the headphone output of the iPhone/iPad...

I've got the desktop but haven't used it a lot. I like it on the ipad for couch jamming. It sounds better than the rest of the plugins to me.

Ive got the alesis io dock, and it seems fine. Nothing to compare it to

iRig pro works for me, 24bit is definitly the only way to go, especially if you use your volume control at all.

Had a play with BIAS myself and the amp matching stuff as well.

I reckon it's great for iOS etc and is an extremely useful tool for writing, practising and jamming - even live work I can see a good use for it ...

I'm usually very diplomatic, but I must say that it falls very short of the delicious tones (clean and gain) delivered by the Kemper. There is no way I'd ever use it in a recording.

I've been using bias for a bit. It's a great piece of software and I'm hoping to work with the company in the new year if things fall into place.
