What is the best way to connect the Kemper to FOH mixer?

  • Not knowing anything about your FOH set up, my only thought is that "It's not the Kemper." Too many of them are being used on tours for the unit to be the culprit.

You could have some funky selections in the output menu or some other miss-setting. There is zero doubt that the KPA can produce exceptional sounds through FOH.

  • It is for sure worth checking how the respective channel equalizer of the FOH mixing desk are set. You should start the session having them in a neutral position (middle position)

  • Not to mention that headphones sound nothing like FOH speakers, so your EQ settings from one to the other will be radically different.

If my primary concern is what's coming out of FOH, I fire up the big boys and tweak the rigs and performances to sound right through the mains.

Plus, what everyone else has already said.

Too many guitars, not enough strings!

  • Just some thoughts ......

Phase issues ? Try one XLR at the time .

Then try different XLR cables .

Also make sure the 3 leads in the XLR - XLR cable

does not have contact with each other.

Phantom power "on" in mixer channels ?

    + what´s already been said.

The adjective for metal is metallic. But not so for iron ... which is ironic.
