Hello.
I have issue with looper.https://www.dropbox.com/s/j8vca35azfhinbb/issue.mp3?dl=0
If I change preset before start recording, sounds like this.
I must firs press delete and then start rec.
Midi commads are sending right.
First OxC0,1
Second NRPN for rec.Do you have any idea.
Thak you.Problem solved with new 3.1.4 FW
Thank you KPA TEAM.

The looper doesn't work with new firmware (5.0.3). Would it be possible to have the new NRPN parameters to make it work again for non remote users? Only Play/Rec and Stop/Erase buttons are working.
Thanks!

I wouldn't expect any kind of response on this one. The looper via midi was never a formally supported feature by Kemper. All of the information about programming was reverse engineered and shared by people on this forum, but Kemper never officially supported the feature. That is why you won't see it documented anywhere in user manuals, etc.. Over the last few releases looper features have stopped working using the programming that was previously available. We're down to the basics of record, stop, erase. FYI
-
You're right Sean, but maybe if we continue asking for that feature or at least the data needed to develop it for ourselves just like before, Kemper Team would take it into account.
Anyway, the Kemper looper has never worked for me as good as an external looper when doing the crossfade between the end and the start of a loop. I always notice a clip when the loop starts again.
Does it work okay for any of you?

How do you operate the looper? One click start, one click stop? I found it easier to use it if you set it up so that you hold down the button while you're looping and then replay starts when you release the button. Clicking takes time and that could be why you find the loops aren't seamless.Practicing with it also helps. It is definitely possible to get the Kemper looper to work like any other looper on the market.

I haven't check it that way nightlight, thanks! Let's see if it works...
-
The main problem was that the looper was placed PRE instead of POST. Holding Play instead of pressing it doesn't make any difference for me but anyway I find harder than with other loops to make a clean crossfade between the end and the start of the loop.
I don't care about the 1/2, Trigger and Reverse buttons, but I really miss the Undo/Redo function.
Please Kemper Team, at least give us extraofficially that parameter
-
You can change the location of the looper even without the remote. In the setup menus they are greyed out but you can toggle between pre and post amp. For me post works much better.
I don't know the exact page number but it's in the system setup section.Sean

Yes Sean I know, it was a cluelessness.
I've been working on my LF+12+ page display for the looper and now I can control Play and Stop (just like before) and I've programed buttons for controlling the looper position (pre/post), and the looper level via NRPN messages (-3, -6 and -9 dB).
I miss the Undo/Redo function but it's still a very useful feature. I wish we could have it on a close future along with the other options remote users have.
-
any update for the undo / redo function in the new firmware?
-
Still nothing.
Possible to enable soft buttons to use the looper? -
Still nothing.
Possible to enable soft buttons to use the looper?Using soft buttons to enable the user would be extremely difficult, as it's not convenient to take your hands off your guitar to punch in and out of the loop.
I'd suggest investing in a cheap dual stomp footswitch. That would allow you to control record stop and stop with just a button press, @Gizmo. Just make sure they are momentary switches.

That thread had a post where his question was discussed and someone tried the looper sysex commands in OS5 and UNDO/REDO still don't work. I've also been waiting for this to work so I can update my home made MIDI footpedal. I already have more momentary switches than I need haha! I agree, soft buttons would NOT be a good thing.

Oh nice, a home-made midi pedal? Post some pics, I'd love to see it.Kind of sad undo/redo doesn't work, I'm hoping Kemper Amps will post an updated midi parameter document with that information. Maybe one of these days...

Very simple board
I gutted the inside of some cheap Yamaha board that I got for $10 and added my own Arduino based controller. Fits right inside my KPA carrying case too.
Bi-directional comms through a single MIDI cable so the LEDs on my board give me the feedback I need.
I can turn it into Looper mode with a double foot press, but without the UNDO/REDO and TRIG, I don't find it that useful for me anymore.[Blocked Image: http://i106.photobucket.com/albums/m268/Gizmo1952/board_zpssa87tqdy.jpg]

Very nice carrying case too!

Very nice carrying case too!
Thanks, it's an old VHS camera case that I picked up at a garage sale dirt cheap. Just added a bit of foam and it now carries my KPA, MIDI board and all the cables I need.
Very handy and robust.
And best of all...the colour doesn't clash -
That's a great pedal. I don't suppose there's any chance you might share the Arduino code? I'm planning to make something like this, but with no prior experience it's hard to know where to get started.
