I'm getting random changes in sound as I play. I'm in performance mode just playing a simple chord progression with a crunchy rig. Every few seconds it sounds like someone is switching the cab off and the sound is really harsh and fizzy, sounds horrible. I've been using this rig for months with absolutely no issues, until I upgraded to fw3.0.
FW3.0 Random sound issue.

Hi
Same issue happened to me yesterday but in browse mode. I was tweaking some effects in my rigs when suddenly this strange change in sound appeared . As Smfelton says it sounds like switching the cab off. I've also updated to Fw 3.0
-
Hi, I also had few serious issues after upgrading to FW 3.0. , squeaking sound, few freezing...(i posted my story recently on this forum) . I noticed certain amount of other users having ,in my opinion , too many serious issues for a firmware that has release status.
I just had to downgrade to 2.7.4 to put my Kemper amp back to " reliable mode". . -
In an effort to try and help pinpoint the "culprit " did you all install the merged rigs or new rigs with the update?
I did the update but DID NOT install any rigs as of yet and have no issues.
-
I didn't intall any new rigs in my kemper, it was just using my old profiles.
-
Nope just installed the update, the rigs are the same ones that have been on the kemper for about a year.
-
There goes that theory!
-
Remember to open a ticket guys, so that Kemper is made aware of these problems and can get on to finding and sorting them out.
Cheers,

It's random as well I switched on the KPA this morning and it didn't do it at all (using the same rig) switched it off for a bit then when I switched it on it started doing it again. I also noticed it was doing it in the looper.

I have a similar issue, does it sound like this?

No not like that but wow thats not good, what have you got your clean sense set on, something definitely weird is going on there.
-
Mine is more a case of playing for a few seconds and it's ok the suddenly it's like that cabinet has been switched off, its like that for a few seconds, then it switches back to how it was originally.

Any news on this issue guys

I still got the sound on two of the new profiles provided in the merged pack. They are both clean profiles and I did not need them so I deleted them. I did try to make some direct profiles yesterday. Sometimes it does it correctly, DI first then full profile then merge. Sometimes it thinks a DI profile is a full profile, sometimes it thinks a full profile is a DI profile. Sometimes the DI profile sounds like a full profile. Sometimes the cab does not sound like it saved properly after the merge. All of this profiling the same amp and leaving the mic alone, just changing the amp settings.
That being said when it works correctly, is sounds good, its just buggy. I'm going to wait until the next update. I've tried reloading 3.0 and that did not change things.

I sincerely hope the Powers That Be are reading some of this .....................

The simplest solution for this is to add another selection in profiling mode(after clean /distortion) Di profile/studio profile , so profiler will be forced to use selected mode.

maybe i'm late on this but wouldn't it better from kemper team to provide an email address just for bug reporting? instead of opening a ticket, it would be more useful to write to that specific address. something like [email protected]

There would be no difference to these two methods of approaching them. -
I think they know about the issues, I just think they have their hands full right now with the foot controller coming out. I predict that when they do get it fixed, shared cabs may be much more usable than they were in the past. Using the new method I profiled some cabs that I really like and they share well with other rigs. Thats a first for me to a large extent in terms of cabs.
