  • does it show anything *before* it connects to the profiler? as Raul23 said: check the contrast (use the contrast pot for this to be sure that you control the contrast on the remote and not on the profiler itself)

  • I have had the same issue - however, I had to lower the contrast and then it was back to what I remember the screen looked like before - I've only had the remote for a couple of days, so it's really hard to compare. But definitely, something must have been changed about the initial start up setting of the display of the remote.

  • i figured it out !!!
when making an FW upgrade or downgrade the Remote MUST be unplugged
otherwise the Display stays blank !!!
I did this now 2 Times with FW 3 and 3.01 and when the Remote is plugged on
FW changes the Display stays blank
when unplugged and after FW finishes being plugged the Remote Display is activated
    and works.
    Hope this helps
    thanks for all your Tips
    regards
    Dany

PS im happy that all Kemper issues in most cases could be solved so fast
    its a friendly system

  • Glad you sorted it! It's a good idea to unplug anything unnecessary from any midi device during upgrades. If a footswitch etc. sends midi commands then it could bork something. The good news is that no hard has been done here :)

  • edit: seems you've found the issue already.

be 100% sure that you have tried to adjust the contrast *with the contrast pot on the remote*, while it isn't connected yet.
did you try to look at the display from another angle? is there really really nothing to see?
then it looks like a hardware issue, and you should contact support.

  • ah..so that looks like a softwarebug indeed
