vintage 4x12 Marshall cab

    I am by no means a vintage Marshall cabinet guru, however.......I don't believe that the Pre-Rola cones were in G12H30 speakers. They were the older 20 watt speakers, IIRC.


    BTW, if you can find a cab loaded with Scumback "SA" series speakers, you will find that they are VERY equivelent to the old Marshalls. I bugged Jim Seval at Scumback for several years to make them, and he finally capitulated with stunning results.


    One caveat ,however, unless they were made with the 3.0 or later firmware, there will still be a large contribution of the originally profiled amp inherent in the swapped cab. Even then, there is still some debate on the level of perfection of the resultant cab profile.
