Got a mission expression pedal, wanna plug it into my remote and use as a wah. Need a little help

Got my expression pedal yesterday. Wanna set it up as a heel down(off) wah pedal. How do I go about doing this? Do I need to put a wah in one of the stomp box slots on a rig or can I set up the wah completely independent of those?
Any help or step by step instructions would be great.
