Idea on how to profile effects better

Just a crazy idea I had. If with the 3.0 and above firmware we can merge a profile which makes a more accurate cab sim, is there any way in a future firmware to do the same with a overdrive stompbox?

In other words, make a profile with say a really nice TS808, then make a profile without it - same settings, then use a merge like function to place the sound of that TS808 in one of the fx blocks?

Likely wouldn't be able to tweak, but you would be able to turn it off and on (and yes, I know you could make an entire different profile without it, but this way you could use the sound of that TS808 with another profile).

Am I crazy?

I think it might not be possible with the Profilers architecture. There are unconfirmed theories that the KPA is made up of two parts : a general all-purpose amp modeller and a convolution-on-steroids cabinet simulator. If this is correct, then your idea of how to profile stomps would require an additional convolution stage to run the stomp sim alongside the cab sim. Storing the profiled stomps in the Stomp slots of the KPA wouldn't be feasible either, as Kemper has already stated that the stomps in the KPA are purely modelled. However, I'd be absolutely delighted if there was a way to do this! Very great idea!

Maybe the profiles of the stomp boxes might need to be converted after being separated then could be placed as stomp models in the slots.

Maybe another part of the profile itself that during the refining process you turn the 808 on/off so it places the 808 in a on/off section of actual profile which could be any input that alters the amps profile.

The stomps/effects are programmed (software) so doing a profile of a stomp would make no sence.

Although I wish this was not the case, as I'd love to add my own (72) stomp boxes in the Kemper
