I'm foremost a guitarist and don't know much about bass amps or what to search for in the RE. Where should I start with auditioning profiles? I'd like some clean and some dirty ones. I like everything from funk/slap/soul stuff to dirty stoner and metal. My bass is a P/J copy.
Where to start with bass profiles?

My go-to bass patches are usually the Gallien Krueger pack labelled A through E (I like C the best) and the Microtubes B7K pack labelled 1 through 6 (I love 4). Both groups are on the exchange.
For metal, it's pretty common these days to use a track of clean DI bass, compress the shit out of it and roll off everything about 200 or so, so you get a nice solid low end, and then blend it with the same performance reamped through... well, anything with distortion. Guitar amp, bass amp, fuzz pedal, you name it. The Ola Englund pack that's included on the KPA has a couple of good profiles for this, as does the Keith Merrow (KM ____) set.

Great. I will check those out.

The Microtubes ones are all DI... I'd prefer full rigs since I don't have any bass cab IRs and don't know what to look for.

Bass doesn't need a cabinet like guitar does, since you're rarely using a ton of distortion. Plenty of albums are just a bass straight into the mixing board with some EQ and compression.

For the life of me I can't find the Gallien Krueger rigs you referred to, Lokasenna.Any other search terms I could try? Thanks mate.
EDIT: Solved. Anyone looking for these needs to add a hyphen. The string is "Gallien-Krueger".
