I guess that a stero plug including internal wiring at the KPA instead of a mono plug is a HW modification
You got this wrong. No one requested a stereo plug (at least not in this thread).

That's great news. I guess I can speak for the whole community by saying that we appreciate the short ways of communication and the possibility to do feature brainstorming at an official board.
That said, the next logical step would be a limiter on the Headphone (and / or Direct Out) to prevent feedback in the In Ears. If you could implement this there would be no reason to buy an external IEM preamp unless you would want to go wireless. You could just feed the AUX(es) into the KPA. I opened up another topic for this.

Has this mono option for the aux input happened yet? I'm trying to add a Roland 501 tape echo into the aux in and only hear the effect on one side. I tried the mono Loop in Stomps but it's adding the Roland in series which is not what I want. I want to blend it in parallel either using the balanced or unbalanced aux ins.

I don't understand why you are (mis)using the Aux In feature for this.
Loop Mono has a Mix parameter. So you could run your tape echo in parallel and use the Return as mono input.
By the way with the new internal delay effects and parameters like Flutter Rate, Flutter Intensity, Grit,.... you might be able to make the external tape delay obsolete.

I just tried every possible combination of routing using the direct out and aux ins, both as a mono loop and as the aux in post being feed by master mono out. I prefer using the aux ins and not using the loops. The main reason is that the Roland 501 also has a real spring reverb. A lot of times I need to print mono and the tape delay with real verb sounds amazing. Plus it just looks cool under the Kemper!Right now I have it's mono out going to a Whirlwind A/B Selector which also has a "both on" option. I'm using this to feed both sides of the aux in. Using it like this I get double mono so it's placed in the center and not just off to one side. If I add a panning delay from the Kemper, the Roland fills in the center nicely and it sounds great.
I tried to emulate this using the Kemper's mono delay in the stomp section but it's dual mono with both sides being panned wide. So while the 501 stays centered and out of the way of the panning delays, the mono Kemper steps all over the other delays.
The other thing is that I'm used to the 501 and it's easy to dial in quickly since there are knobs. Using a blend of analog pedals in front of the Kemper and tape echo through the aux is sounding best to me. I also can use all the plugins I have for panning delays and verb. A lot of the effects in the Kemper seem to be missing some of the parameters I'm used to having, like a square wave on the trem.
Now that I've played with it more, what I'd really like to have is the ability to use one aux in set as mono, or use both aux ins as stereo with a width control so I can spread it wide to each side or bring it in tighter to the center.
And yes, tape echoes are now obsolete so everyone please send them to me for proper disposal!
