This is from the manual:
QuoteCabMaker requires the impulse response file to be wave files (.wav format), sampled at 44.1kHz and either 16 or 24 bits deep. Other file formats are not supported. The utility takes approximately the first 1.5 sec- onds into account; since impulse responses are typically very short, this should prove more than enough.

Real 1.5 sec? How much samples?

44100 (mono) samples per second * 1.5 sec = 66150 samples.

Awesome, how much the Cabmaker take, make out of it in the end, the converted file is only 1. kb or?
will I benefit in tone, feel too when taking a that long Or just a longer wave Impulse response then for the cabmaker?
Usually the best waves I have are 1000-8000 samples i think.
Im just interested in, I love how My IR's sound in my kemper, maybe you can
clear me up there although -
It's hard to tell but kipr files are no longer impulse response files. From what i understand kipr hold info about the filter spectrum.
So resulting kipr will never have tail or room reverbation.
