Alternative without a Battery for The Boss FS-6

Hey Guys,

i want to buy a switching device like the Boss FS-6 to scroll through rigs at home and I was wondering if there is an alternative that doesn't need a power source. I know, that normal Amp switches don't work with the Kemper and that you need a latching switches. Does anybody know a good alternative that doesn't need a Battery or a Power Suply. I dont mind if it doesnt have LEDs.
Sry if this has been asked before but I've been searching the Forum for quite some time now and couldn't find it.

Look on eBay for cheap Behringer footswitches for controlling their amps. They are simply 2 momentary switches in a box with a TRS cable attached. That's the cheapest alternative I've seen.

I use my amp's usual switch. I just have to press the button(s) twice

@MonkeyPeanutButter: Just FYI: You can use the Boss FS6/FS7 without batteries as well.

I have one of these, and IIRC, I was able to switch rigs on the KPA with it - http://digitech.com/en-US/products/fs3x-3-button-footswitch . I haven't used it in a very long time, so my memory is hazy. I suppose I should try it out again and see ...

Yeah, only for the LED's.

Hey Ingolf. I read a few reviews on thomann of the FS-6, that all say that you need the battery to not only use the LEDs but so the pedal does actually work.
According to reviews on the FS-7, this is something that changed with the FS-7, but if you use the FS-7 as a laching switch you still need the battery for it to work.
But because the FS-7 has to be set to monentary mode to work with the Kemper I'll get one of those

Yep, I tried the FS-6 and it needed batteries.

Had same problem, had to press 2 times to switch on or off, it is just because it's latch switchs, I've bought momentary switches and swapped them and it worked perfectly, press 1 time : On, press again: Off. Total cost : Less than 20€

(Got some doubts about latch and momentary terms so feel free to correct me)

OK, so it was the FS-6 I read about. Too bad, because I like the sideways form factor better than having to step over a switch to get to the other one.
