My pleasure, Maestro, and thank you for moving me so. -
hey guido. purchased your latest offering the soldano and marshall . got all four packs now and all sound great.
i was just watching the crosswinds video from bobbys backing tracks and was wondering if you used the kemper on that and if so what profile were you using. your tone is killer . -
Yeah, and they nailed the vibe of the song very well from bar one.
I've had that album for 30 years and really didn't expect them to do such a good job, although with Guido's being involved, I should've known better!

Many THX guys! i really appreciate it. ! i uses the Bognar XTC Bue 2+ and Red 2 on this Crosswinds's Video! ;-))

Let me just put this out there, and maybe ill get slammed for it, but im curious...
In all other XTC profiles i have, the red channel is not nearly as tight and modern sounding as it is here. The definition parameter is set way different. Im not complaining, per se, but im curious if a boost pedal was used or Definition was raised after the fact. I still love the tone it gives here, but having never owned an actual XTC im curious if the distortion is this tight on its own.
-
I'm sorry to hear that But I swear that I didn't change anything for the sound samples. I didn't use a boost pedal or changed the definition after it
I'm using the REDs myself for almost any recording and it works for me perfectly every time. -
Dont get the wrong impression. I am quite happy with the profiles and i have no idea what the actual amp sounds like. So please dont apologize for MY ignorance or for providing us awesome profiles at awesome prices. I know some people feel like changing any parameter is "cheating" and some have accused commercial vendors of "gaming" their profiles. Thats not how i feel and i understand the profiler is a weird thing. Sometimes you have to make changes to get the real amp sound. And sometimes the same amp at same settings but different cab or micing will show big differences in the Definition or Gain parameters. I was more curious than anything. Thanks for the quick reply.
Now if only you can find a way to sell us your chops and musicianship...
-
I'm not hungry, so I'd "settle" for the mutatedtittysicianship.
Just sayin'.
-
There's also the possibility that your amps use different tubes, or you profiled at different master volume settings. A cranked power section typically adds a little roughness to the tone, and that could explain the difference. Again, these profiles are highly recommended by me, as well as apparently everyone else who bought them.

Hi again,
no problem, all fine
Just a few cents:
We profiled the Bogner XTC with the Bogner 4x12" (Vintage 30) at very high volume to get this typical "burning" character. And we we're blown away by this sweet aggressive tone with very harmonic distortion. So we captured 7 different sweet points (in our honest opinion) that perfectly represents this amp. But of course everybody has a different idea where these SWEET POINTS really are. So the only thing i can say is that the profiles sound exactly like the miked amp. -
