  • I've gotta laugh 'cause this sort of thing has happened before to me, but I swear it's not there, Guido.

    I scanned the Videos page, checked the XTC Profile (Rigs) page, clicked the Taurus Next Step play button along with the Steve Lukather and Guido Bungenstock links where you described this video (under the "Ian Crichton of Saga lesson" section)... and no luck.

    Don't worry about it mate; I'll stumble across it if I just keep pushing buttons like a monkey at a typewriter... :D

    hehe, It's just below the "Ian Crichton of Saga lesson" section. There was another video before and I exchanged that so it seems that you either have to refresh your browser(maybe empty your cache) or you blocked facebook (because it's uploaded on FB).

    @sambrox!
    THX! ;)

  • If you are gearing up to do some Mark V 25 profiles then watch this video (with included settings and info):

    . My favorite Mark V sound! It would be sweet to have a profile in this ballpark!

  • I've gotta laugh 'cause this sort of thing has happened before to me, but I swear it's not there, Guido.

    I found it no sweat, and man does it sound great. Guido you amaze me with your chops, and you make everything look so damned effortless. I hate you! (kidding here) Monkey_Man - maybe the vid is just banned in Australia :D

    Gary ô¿ô

  • Yeah, Guido's playing should be rated R or banned entirely in Jungleville, IMHO, Gary. LOL

    Have you blocked Facebook, Monkey? That might be why; it's hosted there.

    Try clicking here

    SamBro' the freakin' genius. Thank you brother!

    I don't do socialist media, mate, so FarceLook, TwitStar, YourPlace, InstaGrammy and whatnot are all verboten on my computer via LS.

  • Guido, that is the nicest thing anyone's said to me all year, mate. Seriously, my heart melted in appreciation. Thank you!

    Unfortunately, such sites are verboten for the Monkster. I don't like the way they constantly build profiles. Kemper profiles = great, but socialist-media profiles = not great, IMHO.

    I've managed to hold out this long, but I can tell you that if I don't find a girlfriend in another 5 years I'll certainly give in just to be able to catch up with old friends. Due to illness (me) and death of my few good friends from the late '90s through to about 10 years ago, I've become isolated and have been celibate for 23 years. As I implied, I'm not sure how much longer I can stand it, so we'll see!

  • @Monkey_Man
    Of course I didn't know about your personal circumstances before but I really wish you all the best for the future, mate!!!!
    So get yourself to Facebook and connect to older or new friends! ;)

    Beeing celibate for 23 years seems to be really hard, man! ;(

  • But psst. it's still a secret

    LOL

    But now seriously.
    Guido, do not take it too personally.
    Your objections give the mods the possibility to present generally their view of things once again, but it does not necessarily mean that it is directed against you.
    I appreciate that this forum will be supported by dedicated facilitators with enough consequence. I've hardly seen a forum in which the sound is so polite and the atmosphere very companionable.
    I don't think guitarist are better people. I think that it is precisely this form of moderation. (additional to the interesting topics).
    Go ahead your way and don't have feeling that rules are made against you.
    I like your slogan. I like your presentation. I like that you make advertising just in the forum which is made for this.
    And I could even live with shorter titles. ;)

    keep profiling - Harry

  • Yup. You've explained your perspective all you can, Guido.

    I wouldn't worry about restrictions' affecting your sales too much 'though; as has been said, the quality of your work will sell itself. I mean, how many packs has Michael Britt sold? Heaps, right? It's the word of mouth here in the forum and elsewhere that will ultimately determine the short and long-term success of your profiles, mate. Please believe me. Before most folks buy, they ask fellow users in, I'm guessing, by far the majority of cases. Hang in there bud. You'll be fine!

    @Monkey_Man
    Of course I didn't know about your personal circumstances before but I really wish you all the best for the future, mate!!!!

    ... and I really shouldn't have said anything; it's just that the irony of my self-imposed socialist-media ban is not lost on me, bro'! LOL

    Beeing celibate for 23 years seems to be really hard, man! ;(

    Mate, I can't even begin to describe what a challenge it's been! I mean, I'd have most Catholic priests beat hands-down, no? LOL

    Back to topic, folks:
    Let's talk about Guido's balls.

    Hang on... :/

  • After reading in this thread and watching Guido's videos (very gifted player) i couldn't resist and started with Guido's XTC.
    Stopped using other profiles immediately. I have just started configuring my personal rigs based on Green and Red channel.
    I'm 58 now and was raised with Blues, Bluesrock,R&B and Classic rock but still like the XTC.
    Great work from Guido and mates.
    If i could ask for i would love me some Dumble (FUCHS ODS) and F..... Super Reverb.

    Gibson 2012 R8 with Wolftone Pickups
    Tokay ES110
    Schecter Custom Shop Strat
    Dano 59 for slide
    Brunetti Singleman 16 with Alnico Gold
    FUCHS Full House 50 Head with Buzz Feiten Vintage 2x12 closed cab
    KPA head
    11R

  • @Monkey_Man
    Thank you too Bro! ;)

    @ottoguitar.
    I just read your nice review on my site. Thank you very much for this! To get a Dumble for profiling could be very difficult, but we'll see....;-)

    The Bognar XTC is still one of my favorite profiles since we started in July. I think we just nailed this amp so much in the studio and all people just LOVE this pack! Still unbelievable!
    Yesterday Steve Lukather and I wrote some mails back and forth and he loves my playing and the Kemper as well. So I send him the Bognar XTC pack and he was very thankful. So who knows maybe he's gonna use our profiles too sometimes. He's a really nice guy! ;)

    Nice! That is super cool! Steve is a MONSTER player for sure.

    Guido:
    When I got the Kemper, considering that its cost is not pocket change, I was initially sure I wasn't going to buy any commercial profiles because I also believed the Kemper should have everything I need. That was true, it did have everything I wanted and needed, but when I heard your Bognar XTC I decided to buy your profiles because to me, they became something I had to have and not just need, which is/was already fulfilled by the Kemper free profiles.

    To my ears, your profiles have a certain level of quality, specifically signal to noise ratio that, I don't hear when I play any other profiles. Keep doing what your doing and using the same gear, because I think you have a very very good recipe that for whatever reason no one else seems to have!
    I also hope Steve will use your profiles and that you make tons of money, because you have a product, that's worth every penny and any guitar player who has the Kemper should have the XTC at a minimum (the Peavey and the rest of the other profiles are no slouches either)

  • Great endorsement, Dean!

    @Monkey_Man
    Thank you too Bro! ;)

    You deserve it.

    He loves the Kemper? My fave rock player of all time? A-w-e-s-o-m-e!!! :thumbup:

    I too hope he uses the Kemper for recording and live. What an endorsement that would be, eh?

  • your profiles have a certain level of quality, specifically signal to noise ratio that,

    That is certainly one of the things that impresses me the most about your profiles, Guido. So many commercial (and not) profiles are just really noisy and need a lot of gating to be at all useful, and then you can't reduce volume without sacrificing most of the tone and playability. Yours immediately wowed me with how quiet they were, at any gain!

    Truly special, keep it up my friend!

    Gary ô¿ô

  • Many th my friend! We really appreciate this! This is a really important point for us too that we keep the noise as low as possible!
