New YouTube channel...Kemper Profiler TV

  • Hi Damian, truely? I think the kpa team has written that its not downward compatible.
But i don't care about it any longer because i am back on 3.0.2 with pure cab on in artist mode. This works for me because there no sound changing when i switch on and of in performance mode. This is definitely
a bug in the beta as Hans Jörg from kpa has written to me.
No problem at all, i ll wait for a debuged fw.

    Cheers
    Frank

Yes, but I mean that you could use backup in next 3.2 release version with fixed bug (because you wroted: this work was for nuts.).

Exactly. After your bug is sorted out with 3.1x I expect that you simply retrieve your backup and have access to all your performances and the work you've done.

Found this on YouTube - this may develop into something interesting to follow <img src="http://www.kemper-amps.com/forum/wcf/images/smilies/smile.png" alt=":)" /> ” Looks like Scott has had to rename his channel to &quot;Toaster Tips TV&quot; - in case anyone tries to search for Kemper TV, it's…

I'll leave the plastic on the rack unit and controller until I'm finished assembling the final bits... fabricating cage for wireless, so Kemper will come out of rack at least one more time... completing patch bay, waiting on Trailer Trash pedalboard and 2nd spring-loaded Mission pedal. Once everything is finally gathered and assembled the plastic peeling ceremony will commence.

Good god - that'll be an orgy of de-plasticing. You should film that... I wonder if there's a youtube channel for this sort of thing: 'De-plasticing TV' anyone?

Suhr Classic Pro, Fender deluxe Strat & Baja Tele, Gibson ES335, Ibanez S Prestige 2170FW, Eastman AR371CE, Variax JTV > KPA > Patch bay inc. Strymons (Mobius, Timeline, Blue Sky), H9 Max, TC Triple Delay, & POD HD500 > Adam A7Xs

Yes. It will be truly epic.

  • why he stopped?

I think he realized, he wouldn't be able to compete with other commercial profile makers. And his intention was to sell profiles. As he was selling presets for TC Electronic G-System. But me may see him opening Helix TV soon...

  • Thats weird. I only watched a few of the vids, but when he did his top tens and such it was for a variety of other peoples profiles, often commercial. So hes plugging his competition?

No, his business is to tweak presets and make them sound awesome and then sell those. The problem with the Kemper is that you starting point is always someone else's profiles unless you are profiling your own amps (in his case, I don't think thats what he wanted to do). Once he actually started using the Kemper he must have realized that the best sounding profiles were commercial profiles. This explains why he uses/name drops commercial profiles. He couldn't tweak commercial profiles and resell them, and teaming up with the commercial profilers would probably not leave his enough of a profit margin.

Makes perfect business sense for him. He can now move on to a product that comes with pre-loaded/emulated amp models (axe fx, helix, amplifire, etc) and he can tweak those presets into custom ones and resell those.

Sucks for us since I enjoyed his videos/explanations. I wish him well

  • Yeah, this is a bummer. I followed all Scott's G System vids and was enjoying Toaster TV. I was considering getting a used Helix, as a backup, once used ones are available, so I may tune in to the Helix channel.

  • Eltzejupp i listen you channel soundcloud and clip is fantastic

Hey you very great guutarist :) but fist exist van halen :D

Hey thx for this kind words! I am back from holidays on sunday and i will send some van halen rigs on sunday. What do you prefer, the early sounds or the balance sounds? ( The balance sounds are with a lot of chorus). The early sounds are more with phaser and flanging fx.
    cheers
