Just noticed that you can even use Copy & Paste using the USB keyboard.
To late for the above video, sorry about that.Once you open a tag, just press Ctrl+C / Cmd+C, then go to another tag and press Ctrl-V / Cmd+V to paste the text.
No need to "select" the text to copy. The keyboard shortcut will just copy the entire tag text.Cheers
MartinPS: If you find more, please post here. Maybe I will do a second video if there's enough additional info.
Thank you, Martin! I am profiling right now (DI, i know late to the party, but goodness, do they rock). Anyway the knob drives me nuts
renaming, deleting and editing all those tags in the KPA is a N.I.G.H.T.M.A.R.E, no WAS, until now!
Will use the keyboard then, thx again -
Just found this topic. Thanks to the Kemper team for this!

We can also do this with a computer keyboard and Rig Manager
True BUT, it doesn't support tabbing to the next field. I still have to click, wait, type, click, wait, type...
This seems much faster.

I'm running current firmware and this froze my toaster.
-
Unfortunatly it does seem not to work with any USB keyboard, though...
Even before getting my KPA in 12/17 I purchased a cheap wireless keyboard that perfectly works with my PC but NOT on both my rack KPA nor my Toaster...
(and I just re-tried it after watching your video @lightbox )
Yesterday I also had a frozen KPA while checking that keyboard with the kemper... -
thanks for the heads-up, @docmidnite
Will check later today and report back how it goes on my Profiler.Cheers

Ok, I checked it again and it still works like a charm for me.
Keep in mind though that the Kemper doesn't have Bluetooth, so in case of wireless it must be a keyboard with USB dongle (Unifying Receiver)! In my case it's a Logitech K400. -

Thanks, guys!
maybe it´s just this cheap stuff...
I was just wondering bc with my ´puter it works fine but not with the KPA...So, just to make things clear:
You just put that little dongle into the USB slot and turn the keyboard on and you´re ready to go, right?
Or are there any things you do on the Kemper (besides the things you do on the video!)? -

correct
Haven't used this small feature in a while ... probably because I'm not into profiling anyway. So I can't tell if there's been any other fancy functionality added apart from the tag and name editing. -
I really think this should be a "pinned" topic. I've found this tip indispensable when naming cab and effects presets.

I have tried two different USB keyboards with my KPA and have had no success with either. That being said, they were both inexpensive "mini" keyboards originally bought for project-y stuff like homebrew PC DVRs, Raspberry Pis, and such, so it's possible that they don't implement some part of the USB HID spec that the Kemper is expecting. -
It works with standard PC-type USB keyboards.
-
Cool tip! Hopefully it gets even deeper with what you can do with a keyboard and the Kemper.

Also Apple (Mac) USB keyboards

Also Apple (Mac) USB keyboards
My Apple USB keyboard doesn't work. It causes the unit to freeze up. But the same keyboard did work with the toaster I used to own...

Just checked mine again. Latest beta and working fine.
