Try a Fender FAT 50s middle pickup in the bridge position.
Amazing tone, easily better than all the expensive boutique pickups I have tried over the years.
Looking for a great strat bridge pickup?

will definitely give that a try. Thanks

I really like it. Its got balls even for higher gain music styles, but still it is very musical, dynamic, chimey... that is often not the case with more powerful pickups. Also great with cleans. A really versatile pickup IMO.

How is the middle PU different to the bridge one in the Fat 50 set and why do you prefer it this way?

Ingolf asked my next question, LOL

I tried this combination and it's just wow:
- neck Fat 50
- middle 69
- bridge Seymour SSL-1C DG -

I felt the original FAT 50s bridge was too hot and dark sounding pickup. It was too 'modern' for my taste. The middle in the bridge feels more open, clear and musical overall.

Did you measure the resistance ? -
I prefer a stacked humbucker for the bridge position of a strat. Pete Biltoft of Vintage Vibe made several different pickups for me, including one of these that's still in my strat.

Did you measure the resistance ?No, unfortunately I did not. Based on specs it is strange, because it should be higher resistance that the bridge. Maybe the inductance and magnetic field is different.

'Usually' with a higher resistance the PU will be a bit fatter in sound.
Most of the sets I know have a bit of higher resistance (i.e. the PU is slightly overwound) for the bridge position.
