Too late.
A simple-minded—kind of offensive—response from support led me to believe that I wasn't gonna get the help I needed and this thing has to be gig-ready soon .... so I clicked the damn factory content button and now I'm about to go through the process of deleting 300 rigs.
Your suggestion is reasonable and would probably have worked.
At this point it's embarrassing that by this point in time there isn't a good editor for this device.
Thanks anyway.
Do you have a backup of your KPA? It will be faster to restore from backup and impot the presets.

If you want - you may send me your backup - and I can try to put desired presets from factory into your backup and resend you new backup.I've never tried this but this should work.
7zip should do the trick since kbackup is a TAR archive. -

In all the regular places. I open an empty Stomp slot, and twist the browse knob searching for things like "Fat Feline OD" or "Red Germanium Fuzz" or press on Reverb and twist the knob in search of "Matchbox Amp Spiral" .. or press on Effects in search of "Dirty Rotor" ... You get the idea. What am I missing here?
"Fat Feline OD" is a input Stomp section preset - try to hold your input Stomps( this one under the ABCD buttons) button and use the browse knob.
"Red Germanium Fuzz"- is a input Stomp section preset
"Matchbox Amp Spiral" is a Reverb setting.
"Dirty Rotor" - is an output Stomps button preset.Hope this helps you. Generally - input and output Stomps sections have they own presets.

Try to hold one big Stomps Button under four buttons of the Stomps or Effects(marked by red circles)

I just posted this in a similar thread: For anyone who works in Logic, the issue here is that things like Fat Feline and Dirty Rotor are not new individual stomps, they're Section Presets (stomps, effects, input, output, etc), similar to a one-stop Logic channel strip setting that achieves its result by using several effects. Not the pro approach, but hell sometimes this type of thing can get you there quick and sound great!
so, did you find the "Fat Feline" etc. when pressing and holding STOMPS for a bit and then turning BROWSE?

My experience tells me that there's simply no way anyone on the support team would've meant to cause offence, creative360. Sorry to hear you saw it that way.
I'm confident that the team does its absolute best to be as polite and helpful as is humanly possible.

Can't get my head around the stomps, the presets the settings etc. Wish it was easier.

how so?select a stomp (A, B, C, D, etc.) by pressing and holding the respective button for a second or so
now, in the stomp's edit menu, use TYPE to select the uh type of stomp (distortion, chorus, phaser etc.)
or
BROWSE to browse through the local presets -
plus hold STOMPS or EFFECTS button and use browse knob to load presets for whole effect block.
