After you press System, use the Left/Right "page" arrows to find the page with a Looper Position selection choice of Pre or Post.

Most of those pages have more than one parameter on them. It is on one of those pages, but I don't remember which one - I set mine to "Post" the day I got The Remote, and haven't changed it since then, so I don't remember.
@Ingolf @Zappledan or one of you other helpful folks - what page is it on? My KPA is packed up for the next gig.....

found it! its page 11-Remote settings, top right button 4 above screen, thanks! have a great gig!

I am having this issue now.. it was working until I updated it to os6 Has anything changed since then?

Which issue? You don't find the parameter in System Settings?
It's named "Looper Location: Input/Output" and can be found in the Main Manual as part of the Looper documentation.
The settings doesn't get touched during an upgrade.
