New - Profiles by - Tone Hawk Studios -

  • Hey Guys!

I posted this the other day on The Gear Page, but just wanted to say hello, and post it officially here as well. After all, this is Kemper Headquarters right! :))

Some of you have already watched my video and/or downloaded my profiles, and I truly appreciate your interest and support. Thank you!!! It's been really exciting and encouraging to receive feedback and to interact with Kemper players worldwide!

So…here is my intro post and video demo. I'm a pro guitarist based out of Los Angeles, CA. and have just released - Tone Hawk Studios Vol. 1 - a collection of profiles for the Kemper Profiling Amplifier, featuring various combinations of amps, pedals, cabs & mics. Here is a video of me playing and demoing some of the profiles from the collection. Hope you dig it! More info can be found at http://www.tonehawkstudios.com

    Thanks for watching!

& Now... off to the LA Amp show to check out what's new…. Anyone else going today?

  • I've purchased your profiles. Divided by 13 profiles are great and better than the marshall altough generally they're a bit dark for my tastes. Anyway welcome to the forum and looking forward for your next pack!

  • I bought them .They sound fine ....I think I expected more from the Marshalls though ..Then again I also purchased the Michael Britt Mini Marshall pack recently which are superb so I'm probably comparing yours to the best Marshall profiles out there

  • Good job.Lance!

I've purchased your profiles, and I must say that I consider them one of the first class, in good company with the best commercial profiles.

Really good and truthful even the demo ;)

Thanks guys!!! I really appreciate you getting them and your feedback. I tried to include a variety of profiles and so I approached it with both pedals and straight amp tones. I wanted to leave in and capture the bigness of what one hears when say a FTR37 is turned up and going through a big cab like a 4x12. but I can see how some of the low information can read dark. Interesting fact, and some aren't aware of, but Fredric from Divided by 13 is actually a bass player! So that probably contributes a bit to his stuff having such a big low end presence & body. Also..this might be obvious, but some of the profiles, especially the Tube Drivers, were intentionally set to be on the darker side, in order to be used in a single coil bridge pickup setting, similar to how Johnson sets his. Anyway…thank you so much for your interest, means a lot!!! and I've got some other stuff upcoming too, I'lll keep you posted :)

  • Received today the profiles from Lance which I bought via Paypal.

First of all Lance is a very nice guy, with whom correspondance was very pleasant
Second and maybe more important, these are some nice profiles. Especially the divided by13 are really, really nice.
The Marshall is indeed a bit dark but EQ can do a lot.

All with all: glad to have bought them

    Thank you Lance !

  • Hi, cant find you in the www. Do you have a link?

And...they sound amazing! Well done, Lance. I really like the /13 profiles.

Wow! Thank you!!! That makes me really happy to hear, I'm glad you like them. You made me anxious when I read…"Tone report shortly" haha! :)

Sure thing. The /13 profiles play really nicely and do not need a lot of effects to sweeten them up. With my volume cranked up I could swear I had an amp mic'ed up in another room. A couple of the Marshall profiles really stood out for me as well.
