I have a MXL-910 Mic. Its a "middle of the road" mic for working guys like me.
But I was wondering if it would be acceptable for Profiling with the KPA?
What does the average guy that makes good profiles use these days?
Thanks!

that's like asking 'which guitar to play music?'
depends on your tastes, on what your trying to achieve etc.
or, as with guitars, amps etc. what you can achieve with them is mainly about the player, not the gear.
the mic seems fine, you should probably concentrate on mic placement
hth
Ahh yea I guess yer right Don, Didn't think of it that way. Yea mic placement matters even with the best microphones.
Getting a little ahead of myself- Guess I need the KPA to arrive first huh...
Just wondering out loud if there was a ballpark favorite mic among the Kemper masses... Thanks!
Not familiar with that mic, but if you have an extra 100 bucks (or less if buying used) I would pick up a Shure SM57. One of the most popular mics on guitar amps in history.
Don't have a 57 or 58 atm, but I have used them many times even way back in the mid 70's. Yes they are good mics!
If the 910 needs Phantom Power, you cannot connect it directly to the KPA "Return" jack. It will need to be connected to a power supply or mixer first.
Dynamic: SM57
Condenser: AKG C414
You cannot go wrong with either or both of these.
Thanks guys!!
power soaks are not recommended for authentic tube amp tone, since they interfere with the all important amp/speaker interaction.
