    low volume in the cab part, Just saved the cab part and tested with some Dis from other amps that I like. Did the same with yours DI with my cab parts mas sounds OK.

    If it's only volume...than ok I mafe them that way. I don't think that's an issue at all. I'm kinda sure that you know how to bump a volume up about db or so to fit your needs, right?


    And if it's the sound that you don't like than like you said, you can't like them all.


    It would be cool to hear your, a bit detailed explanation why "dull"? You will not get out of this that easily now haha


    I'll post some clips tomorrow with every profile from the update so others could listen and chime in.

    Volume, it's noticeable comparing with you other stuff, just compare to the studio profiles. Yes I know how to bump a volume up but not used to in your profiles.
    Dull "lacking brightness" comparing with the studio profiles. Yes I know the amp setting have a definition setting, but since your is in 10 can't bump up and could be your setting, if your goal is to get that sound its cool.
    Tested with other cap part from Tills just for an example, its normal and sound good but I have better sound using the direct profiles.
    Just can't make any use of the EVH CAB settings in this merged pack but others may have other opinion. Maybe in the Friedman BE 100 ... waiting for them by the way :)

    Ok, one last question. Since I made the profiles a bit darker this time (kinda experimenting) because of some Fender users been constantly asking me to make a few darker sounding...when you copied the cab part, did you copy the studio eq that I put in the X slot as well?
    When it's on, it makes the profile a bit brighter, just the way I would usually make it.

    No EQ. If is a Fenderish I will try with some Strat, the 7 string it’s not for that darker stuff. But the cab part it’s extremely dark for Strat sounds and mics I don’t know if fits Strat players but ok. Some other sellers have some darker sounds but it’s not a great idea put the amp definition on 10. If the pack have a disclaimer “Strat stuff” didn’t bother in test them, not my stuff and not that amp stuff ... personal opinion here

    Oh, I see now. Definitelly not for a 7 string at all. I made these using Strat/Telecaster gtrs. So, more oriented towards darker/warmer rock sound.
    Please try locking the EQ slot and then copy the whole cab part to some DI you like and let me know if it makes a small difference.
    If not then the next update will be for your style. You play metal,right?


    This is just the 1st update. An experimented one, like I wrote in the comment. Since I own the amp and the cab, new updates will come as soon as I finish new packs and jvm update.


    Btw, I released the crunch, medium gain update for the Fred-Man 100 pack. Also for rockish bluesy stuff.

    Regarding the EVH cab, we're talking 'bout "Greenbacks", right?


    You did make darker profiles intentionally. But considering the lower volume and the tendencial boomy, soft (porn) bottom end - I think I am not the biggest fan of the last cab update. Even when volume is matched it sounds a bit dull - but have to do more testing (different guitars).

    Maybe I wasn't clear enough. Let's try from the start.
    This update was intentionally made to be used in LIVE situation and with BRIGHT single coil guitars also forLIVE use.


    So it is a bit "dull" sounding if you use it other than that.


    Every time I release an update I got a ton of emails saying something like: Hey man, can you make something specially for live use? A bit darker? These are good for the studio but something for live...For brighter single coil guitars...I need this I need that ect ect...And when I do that for the first time, other guys "complain" that they don't like it.and that's fine really :) .It does not bother me that you don't like it personally because I simply need to try and make atleast everyone happy 50-50. So if this update wasn't for you the next one will be. It's not you don't have enough profiles in this pack already that are good.


    I am really sorry that some of you guys didn't find any use of it but do not worry, be patient the fix is coming.

    I just did expect something different with the EVH cab ... and the merged rigs are tagged with HB (not single coils) :whistling:
    But the day comes, that I will need that rigs for sure :)


    But to be honest, at the moment I listen too much ENSLAVED ... and have that special tone in my ears ... and want rigs that do f***ing BLACK METAL and of course DOOM for VIKING LAVA BLACK METAL or something... sorry, but days are getting shorter and winter is coming, you know.... not days for single coils at the moment here :D

    The EVH is a really good set of sounds.
