Hi, sorry if this is a noobish question. I would like to update my Kemper to newest firmware and replace the old stock profiles with new ones (what I understood is newer firmware has same profiles but with separately profiled amps and cabs etc.) So I only want to keep my favourited and imported profiles in the kemper and replace everything else with new stock profiles. What's the best way to do this?

1. You should first make a backup for safety reasons.
2. Afterwards you should update your Profiler to the latest OS.
3. Then you should empty your profiler (delete the old stock profiles). This is best achieved using RigManager.
4. Now, with an empty profiler, retrieve the latest factory content from the system menu. -

Not sure I got you right, but if all you are interested into is the new rigs, you can d\l them from the main site (Factory Packs). This way you can also selectively upload them into your Profiler from Rig Manager, won't have to install them all.

@Ingolf could you please help me a litlle with how you manage step #3?
3. Then you should empty your profiler (delete the old stock profiles). This is best achieved using RigManager.how is that working? RM sees my usd key but if I empty it, still it does not empty my KPA while importing. I guess i am missing how to "delete all"

@pamplemousse: RM needs to see your Profiler (plugged into you PC). Then you can delete the rigs on your Profiler from RM.

wow, I though direct communication was not possible and everything was going through USB.
so you just plug the toaster in the computer and here you go through RM? man, you made my day -

Yes, you need one of those 'old' printer USB cables. -
