i tried a real Guitar cab today for monitoring, turned the mon cab off on, all ok.
My Question is why do i hear changes in Sound when i alter the parameters in the Cab section ??
are these changes to the cab driver which is active when turning cab off pn ??
thanks for help

Monitor Cab off Question

No, you should not hear any difference with Cab set to off. This has already been noticed.
Maybe entering the Cab's parameters by holding the corresponding button momentarily switches Cab on again... Are the tweaks kept when you exit the Cab section and it's switched off again?
-
Was it a studio or merged profile?

i definitely hear the high shift parameters and low shift and cab vol when altering them with cab mon off.
when i leave the cab section the mon cab off is still active and the altered sound stays, so these cab parameters
work with mon cab off
any other ideas ?? -
its a studio profile

its a studio profile
So it seems logical to me, because when pressing cab off, the seperation of amp and cab is made virtually, not like a merged profile.
Try to do the same with a merged profile, alterning cab settings should make no change in sound with it. -
but i understood it this way with studio profiles ( "The standard profiles" ) i can turn mon cab off and use my
guitar cab as monitor without the cab and on main outs i have the cmpl rig inkl cab, there i can , when needed
alter the cab parameters just for foh, but it will leave my mon out with the guitar cab untouched, that makes sense.
i every time il alter my for out it changes my mon out with cab off too will not makes sense for me -
I have a powered rack and I also am a little lost when it comes to monitor on/off,studio/ merged profiles,,,, could we get a schooling for someone in the know?
Thanks so much loving this Kemper,, -
In a merged profile the amp section has been profiled by itself (save the DI's influence on sound), so when you switch Cab off you hear the amp profiled via DI, no guess\estimation by the OS.
When you use a Studio\traditional profile and you switch Cab off (either on the Monitor or globally), the CabDriver function (automatically engaged) algorithmically calculates how the profile would sound without the cab.40661d4ade5602bab6d4c5f085c0e61f79738f31: no, this is a bug (already reported). Excluding the Cab section (either exactly or via an estimation) should kill all the Cab functions and parameters.

so at least its bug that the parameters work with studio profiles, right ?
-
This is my POV, when the Cab is switched off.
-
i guess such change in the sound comes from other cab settings than the volume, cause cab volume is also linked to the amp volume
-
as i wrote
high shift and low shift works in the cab section
with mon cab off -
Yes. Even when using Merged profiles. If it's already reported, I'll just wait.

With the monitor output , set to cab off, I hear a change whenever I turn the cabinet on / off.
