Commercial posting guide

  • This is for authors who want to advertise for their rig related offerings. The sheer volume of recent announcements require us to enforce a bit of structure in this particular part of the forum. Please layout future posts as following. We reserve the right to delete posts which do not follow those rules. Also we issue warnings, friendly in the beginning and later tied to a temporary ban. So please follow and remember the simple rules:

    Thread Title:

Must look like this: Product Name + Manufacturer Name in brackets
For example: "The ultimate surf amp collection (Beach Amps Collective)"

    - NO CAPS in title
    - No exclamation marks in title
    - No URLs in thread title
    - No price in thread title
    - Keep the title short, NOT LONGER THAN 60 CHARACTERS

    Thread content:

    - DO NOT BUMP IT
    - No pictures unless necessary in context
    - One thread for one product/pack or one thread for everything. But not both. Update the thread only, if you want to relay news.
    - If you have special offers (black Friday sales etc.), post a new thread and DO NOT BUMP IT.

    Commenting:

    - The purpose of threads in the commercial section is relaying information about an offering
    - Commenting within a thread has to be limited to adding information
    - The 3rd party discussion section is generally off limits to content providers (this was changed in 1/18 to make things clearer)
    - Competitors are not allowed to post about competing products in the commercial section

Commercial posts on the rest of the forum (outside the commercial section):

    - Don't advertise for your offerings outside this commercial forum

Amount of posts (new addition, posted 08/19):

Sooner than later we will request all commercial posters to limit their offerings to one single thread. There is a significant amount of 3rd parties by now and in order to give everybody a chance to be visible on the first pages, you will need to consolidate your threads to one. At the time of writing (08/19) we estimate this to become a requirement by the end of this year.

    Thank you!
